APTA will seek to improve tourism to Africa through the education of its members.

APPLICATION FOR
APTA INDABA OR NAMIBIA
FAM SCHOLARSHIP MAY 2008

The Rocky Mountain Chapter of APTA is offering a $1000 scholarship to one of its members to be used for the sole purpose of assisting with the cost of on of the following FAM trips.

How to apply:
Please print and complete the appropriate application below, and write a 300-500 word essay on, “Why I deserve/want the Scholarship.” Once completed, email your information and essay to: pam.rathke@gmail.com or mail to: Pam Rathke, 23676 Genesee Village Rd, Golden, CO 80401. Phone 720-746-0748
(Note: if email, put a “receipt of document” on your forms to confirm receipt at our end.) All applications and essays must be received no later than February 28. Upon committee review, a winner will be chosen and notified on March 5. If no qualified candidates apply, the monies will be used for a future FAM.

Requirements:
You must be a current Rocky Mountain APTA member for 2008. You must meet all qualifications for the FAM’s (i.e. Please review requirements for National APTA Indaba FAM.). If you win the scholarship, you will need to purchase cancellation insurance, so that if you cancel the tour, the $1000 can be returned to the Rocky Mountain APTA chapter. PLEASE NOTE: The Namibia Indaba FAM is full. Those participants may apply for the scholarship. All others would be applying for a scholarship for the National Indaba FAM.
