Mountain Chapter Members, Gayla Wright and Marianne Moulton traveled to
Rwanda and Uganda this Spring, on a FAM sponsored by Volcanoes Safaris.
They have many many stories to tell of their experiences, their travels,
their wonderful escort and guide. Here is a quote from Marianne—followed
by a representative sampling of what are some of the most amazing
photographs!
“There were a total of 11 of us, including a representative of CCAfrica, and we couldn’t have been more spoiled and catered to. In two words, this trip was fabulous and amazing.
All of us saw 3 different Groups of Gorillas in as many parks, did Chimp tracking, saw Golden Monkeys and too much other wildlife to mention here.
Both countries were breathtaking in their volcanic beauty and terraced hillsides. The Rwanda Memorial was extremely poignant and a stark reminder of the genocide that took place there not too long ago. All in all, it was an incredible adventure with so many parts to it and our driver/guides, Francis & Freddie, rocked! “
